Server stuff
I’ve been trying to get some analytics going for my sites. I don’t really want to use anything invasive, or else I’ll need those pesky cookie popups technically. And tracking excessive user data is gross anyways. My self-host system has some built-in options. I tried getting Rybbit to work but I’m having some issues with the backend API server for it.
I may still explore some more options…
Burnout?
There’s more things I want to work on. I mentioned some plans yesterday but I think I’m getting burned out on a lot of things. I’ve been a bit sick the past few days so it’s probably a mix of that. But I also generally can’t do the same things for more than a few weeks or I’ll just get bored.
I think for this week, I just need to be a bit more chill. Turn my brain off for a bit, watch some shows, hop on VRC more, I shall see.
Writing
Today’s post is looking to be a bit shorter, I not much has changed since yesterday. Whilst I probably won’t be committed to doing these regularly for too long, it’s nice to just to finish the day by writing my thoughts and plans down. I have my own private Obsidian vault too but I end up not using it as much. Somehow making these posts public on my website gives them more purpose, although I don’t expect many people if anyone to really read them.

Avatars and Branding
I’ve been thinking about the idea of having some kind of mascot character thing. I currently use Velle as my avatar base in VRChat and generally online too. But I’ve been thinking of designing some kind of small creature that could follow me around in vrchat. It would be like this consistent thing that would allow me to use any kind of avatar, with that creature being “me”, in a way. Not sure if I’d go for a robot type design or some kind of abstract creature. I always liked the design of Snowball from Overwatch, so maybe a similar vibe. I could use it for my profile pics, logos, etc. Designing something like this is difficult though, as I’d need to make sure the design sticks around for a while and fits various contexts. Robot drone might not always fit for instance, but could still work. Maybe the drone is actually a blobby alien creature in a robot container???? Dunno. I have some old designs for my old robot avatars, I could maybe reuse some ideas there.
